In May 2021 I had a mild stroke(T.I.A) at the age of 39!!!! At the time of the stroke the doctors weighed me in at 335 pounds! The day of the surgery which was March 24th of this year I weighed 305 pounds. It hasn't been 6 months, and I lost 121 pounds! I eat plant-based, no bread, sugar, pizza, soda, fried foods as well as no meat. I was on diabetes medication; I had sleep apnea; I was on 3 blood pressure meds; along with 2 cholesterol meds!
I'm no longer a diabetic, so I don't need the medication(You can get rid of diabetes!!) I got off all blood pressure, and high cholesterol meds; as well I no longer have sleep apnea (yes you can get rid of sleep apnea!!!!). As well I had zero complications from the surgery!!
People will try to give you horror stories about people they know or heard of who had the surgery. HAVE THE SURGERY ANYWAYS!!!!!!
Special thanks to Dr. Michael Williams, and his team (Michael Andrews, Dr. Curtis, and Tiffany)! Dr. Michael Williams performed the surgery!
My gastric bypass gave me a new life. In May of 2011 I was 307lbs, 5’2 with close to 60% body fat, and dress size 26-28. I had my RNY gastric bypass July 19th of 2011 and today 7/31/2012 I way 163.2lbs and where size ten pants. There is not a single part of my life that was not improved by losing this weight. I look better, I have improved self esteem, I am not on diabetes door, I exercise 5 – 6 day as week, have more energy then I know what to do with, my knee and lower back pain is gone and my sleep apnea had dramatically improved. I literally feel like a new person. I would recommend Dr. Williams to anyone who is serious about getting their weight under control. My only regret is not doing it sooner.
6 months after Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy
Before - 254 pounds After - 158 pounds
I am 54 years old. I was in a place in my life where I was tired of being tired. I had to find a successful way to lose weight. With the health issues I had going on, I wasn't sure if I was going to have a heart attack and die. Both my parents passed at an early age. I decided to live and not die.
Thank you, Dr. Williams, for helping me start that journey called life. I had the Gastric Sleeve Surgery. Best life decision I’ve ever made. In November, four years ago, I weighed 330 pounds. This is when I started my weight loss journey. I had joined the gym, hired a personal trainer, and also had tried what seems like every diet available. I would lose a pound or so but no success. Then I was introduced to Dr. Williams. Before surgery, my shirt size was 3X, Pant size 48, Shoe size 9.5.
Currently, My shirt size is X-Small to Small, Pant size 31, Shoe size 8. Once I started to lose the weight I started to tone up at the gym. When I was 330 pounds trying to work out, it just was not working. Now, I spend hours in the gym toning up my muscles. I now work out three to five days week. I have more energy now than I’ve ever had before in life.
Also, before surgery, my family doctor had diagnosed me with high blood pressure, sleep apnea, and pre-diabetes. My family advised me to lose weight and said these health issues would go away. I can gladly say, I now weigh between 165 -170 and those health issues are gone. No high blood pressure, no sleep apnea and no pre-diabetes.
I am in better health at 54 years old than when I was in my thirties. I strongly recommend Dr. Williams and his staff. He was so encouraging throughout the process. This Gastric Sleeve Surgery not only helped me to become a healthy person but also improved my sex life and built self-esteem. I decided to help others. I am now a certified Master Fitness Trainer. I have run the 10K Peachtree Road Race for the last three years now. Thank you again, Dr. Williams and your spectacular, incredible staff who helped me change my life to a healthy life.
