Michael D. Williams MD. is a minimally invasive surgeon that specializes in bariatric surgery in Metro Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Michael Williams performs the laparoscopic adjustable band, vertical banded gastroplasty, laproscopic sleeves, gastrectomy and the Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass. Dr. Williams also performs incision-less surgery with the stomaphyx device for patients who have regained weight after bariatric surgery due to enlargement of their gastric pouch or stoma.

We offer a comprehensive bariatric program with nutritional counseling, exercise program and support groups.  Your surgery will be performed at an institution that is dedicated to the care of morbid obesity, with oversize beds, furniture, wheelchairs, robes, surgical instruments and operating room table.  Patients may have their family or friends stay overnight. We offer discounts for self pay patients. We have been designated a "Center of Excellence" by the American Society of Bariatric Surgery.

Dr. Williams performs surgery at North Fulton Regional Hospital, Northside Hospital Sandy Springs Campus and Northside Hospital Cherokee and Emory Johns Creek Medical Center.

Dr. Michael Williams attended the University of Maryland where he graduated Magma Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in biology. Dr. Michael Williams was awarded the University of Maryland Alumni Award, certificate of academic achievement and the National Collegiate Natural Science Award.
